I want to create a new simulation from a previous one, just changing some parameters. i know I need to copy the preping file and change the name, also the STL file, some other file?

Ideally, you should be able to create a simulation copy from the GUI itself. But in case you want to do it manually from directories, you may consider moving movin.inp files as well, if they exist.
