Dear all,
i meet a very hard problem on HPDC, high pressure die casting, simulation in FLOW3D. The part cad is symmetrical with ingate and fluid is push by piston in sleeve. However, the filling pattern is not symmetrical. i set run cases with different mesh planes/cell size (FAVOR are all good). such as: case 1: along Z direction. mesh plane 1,.....10, case 2: along Z direction. mesh plane 1,.....8, The filling results of case 1 and 2 are different. mesh is not robust in F3D. could anyone has the sulotuion? |

other settings are all same, just mesh different.
