Hi all,

I am setting up a simulation with mass sources, and I want the second phase (fluid) to be injected into my systems trough a mass-source. It however appears that the mass-source can only deal with the first phase, despite defining it in the GUI as 2nd phase. Flow3d changes the prepin-file during pre-processing to change the mass-source of the fluid from the 2nd to the 1st fluid. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and found a way around it?

cheers

Hi dear AJV!
That is my problem too. Did you find any way...?
Thanks,

Hi Masoud

Unfortunately I have not been able to find a really good workaround. In my case I wanted to create a saline underflow (under fresh water). As an alternative I used the sediment scour module to make the water more dense with a sediment particle size so small that they settle extremely slowly. Not ideal, but it did work to some degree. I abandoned to project I was working on for this in the end so cannot tell you how valid the results were.

If you find a solution I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers
