The US Army Corps Standards are based on US Bureau of Reclamation standards.
Do an internet search for "Design of Small Dams" to find the USBR document you're most likely to use. There's also "Hydraulic Design of Spillways" and "Hydraulic Design Criteria" Vol 1 & 2 by the Army Corps. Pay attention to the units in the documents: they often assume US feet as a length unit, even in coefficients. You can find these tricky hidden units by checking the dimensionality of each equation you use. |
