Default EFD.V5 stops calculation

Hello,

I want to simulate the fluid flow in an autoclave to analyse bonding tools, e.g. for wings. So it is an internal analysis.

I activated Heat conduction, Time-dependent an Gravity. I defined an Inlet volume flow with a temperature of 180°C an a static pressure and a temperature of 20°C at the outlet.

I can compute the mesh without problems. During the calculation of the fluid flow at any point the calculation stops proceeding.

There is no error message, the Solver window is still open, but CPU-performance is about 0%. Check geometry also gives no error message.

Does anyone have an idea what I can try to do?

Thank you! Martin

Hi Martin, generally this kind of problem occurs when grid is not properly defined. so please reset the grid thoroughly and apply again. If you are considering radiation, then check all the parameters and change it. It should work.I was also facing the same problem in flotherm, after following these steps, i got the solution.

thanks and regards, Jitender

Hello Jitender,

thank you for your help. I donīt respect radiation, but it seems that I didnīt find the right grid so far.

Could you imagine that the software release could be a reason, too? I consider that fact because one task I could calculate with version 8.1 an now I have 8.2 an the described problem appears now at this same task, so Iīm not able to calculate the same task again.

Kind regards Martin
