Posting here since its my understanding that SolidWorks CFD is actually FloEFD under the hood.

I'm attempting to do a simple simulation where a single pipe will have a few "layers" of fluids in series. These will be non-newtonian "thick" fluids, and I want the starting condition to be a stack of layers, and then see how they mix as they flow slowly through the pipe. Boundaries will be a pressure on the inlet, and a flow rate on the outlet. So far, I can't figure this out. I can have the sim start with the pipe full of one fluid, and then a second fluid flow in the inlet, but I need 3 layers of fluids to see how they mix.

The software I have at my disposal is SolidWorks CFD.

Thanks, and let me know if there is a better place on this forum to post this question.

Vance,
I'm posting an example problem of a Static Mixer using 3 separate HDPE non-newtonian fluids coming in at equal flow rates into a pipe. This was done by splitting the inlet surface, one for each of the 3 fluids, into equivalent areas.

Download the example model done in SW 2019 SP5.0 from here: https://bit.ly/3aNUKZq
