I want do some works for heat pipe simulation during transit time, First I ‘ll construct a rod as heat pipe and then give the thermal conductive such as 10000W/m.K, I want to detect the cross section’s heat flux during the transit time ,if it great than some values I’ll change the rod’s thermal conductive. All the process can be done by FLOEFD API,anybody can give some suggestions?thanks

Normally the wall thickness of heat pipe is 0.3mm, the wick structure is also 0.3mm, but with many holes in it.
So I suggest to use 0.3mm-thick copper, and 0.3mm-thick wick (pure copper) but 50% weight to define the density and specific heat.

Boris_M will become famous soon enough
It is not possible to change any values of boundary conditions during the transient simulation. You would have to run the project and see the end of the results and then do your adjustments and run it again and iterate to your desired values that way.
But I have never tried to modify heat pipe parameters with the API and would need to check if there is a command for heat pipes.
Also, the heat pipe is more of a temperature loss between the inlet surface of the heat pipe (where the heat goes in) and the outlet surface. There is not much happening in between.

FloEFD can model condensation and evaporation but not in porous media such as a wick. So modeling a heat pipe in detail is not really possible.

I hope this helps,
Boris
