Default API in FloEFD for updating boundary conditions

Hi,

I have never worked with API's before.

I am looking at writing an API to update a convective heat transfer coefficient and the fluid temperature after performing a simulation and then running it again. This would be an equation using goals from the previous simulation to update to the new b.c. This iteration would repeat until a certain tolerance is reached.

I read on the help that this seems to be possible. However since I have never worked with API's I am having trouble starting. I looked at the example excel file and it looks like it doesn't do any iterative solutions. Also, how do I define both values for one boundary condition?

If anyone can give me some tips or help that would be much appreciated!

I am beginning to understand how to write this API through looking even more into the API. However I still have one question with the boundary condition.

I understand I can define the temperature and heat transfer coefficient with the nikParametersTypes_e. What are the propers ones to use here? For fluid temperature im guessing nikTemperature is right. But for the htc would nikSpecificSurfaceHeatGenerationRate be correct?
