Hi guys
I need to analyse the behavior of my switching PS pcb.the mosfets are getting extremely hot i need to design and investigate the temperature with heat sink.I am using S08 mosfet the related heat sink is FK 250 10 LF PAK.The export cad model is not transferring heat with the Mosfet.Heat transfer with the available library heat sink works fine.Any one suggest what i am doing wrong? |

idk, maybe check if you turned on heat conduction in solids, or if material attributes are correct? Also, which software are you using? If flotherm then check if geometry is aligned correctly, there might be a small air gap between two bodies resulting from incorrect conversion through mcad.
I hope it helps ;| |

I think before using it in your model, create a simple heatsource with the heatsink on top and analyse the problem why it is not transferring heat, maybe like in a wind tunnel simulation. Once you find out the problem, you can change accordingly in your model.
