Hi,
Does anyone have experience using FloEFD/SW Flow to determine aerodynamic/wind forces on structures/towers/components? As far as I know the k-e turbulence model is well suited for this application, and I believe FloEFD/SW Flow should be well suited for this. Just wanted to know if there are any users out there who has done this and obtained good results? Thank you, Chris |

Hi Chris,
yes, the results match very good. There are a range of applications I have seen for such cases. This one for example used FloEFD to analyze the forces and pressure coefficients on gas station roof structures: http://phdtree.org/pdf/25907894-anal...ts-under-wind/ Unfortunately I cannot share the paper if you cannot find it somewhere on the internet. Here is another one that doesn't show any loads but the velocity in a city model: http://digitaleplannen.apeldoorn.nl/...16-ont1_10.pdf I hope this helps, Boris |
