Is Flow EFD / Flow Simulation using the "revised k-e" or the "standard k-e" turbulence solver?
Application is building aerodynamics and it is recommended to use the "revised". Ref: CFD Simulation for pedestrian and wind comfort and wind safety in urban areas: B. Blocken. |

Hi Mark,
FloEFD is using a modified k-e model. What exactly are you trying to simulate? I know FloEFD is used in HVAC applications but they range from HVAC ducts and units to room simulation. Boris |

Thanks for the reply.
In this application working on building aerodynamics and was looking at a 'best practice guide' that specified the k-e type. Building aerodynamics is the flow of air around the outside of buildings and determining if the building design creates air velocities that are hazardous. |

Ok, I understand. I don't think that should be a problem for FloEFD.
