Hello.
I want to simulate anodized heatsinks. How do we set the heatsink as anodize material? Thank you. |

Hi abeqhorie,
anodization is a surface treatment so the only boundary condition that would change is the roughness or radiation properties of the surface. The material itself does not really change, just in a very thin surface layer that shouldn't influence the overall behaviour. If the surface thermal conductivity changes then you can apply a contact resistance. But all these values depend heavily onthe process and after treatment you had. For example anodizing and then having a surface paint on it which reflects and/or emits radiation differently than the other color etc. I hope this helps, Boris |
