Heat transfer calculation in FieldView

Hello All,
How to calculate the mass weighted average temperature and heat transfer (as in Fluent) in field View.

The first part of your question (how to calculate mass weighted average temperature) has already been answered by the FieldView Support team in a FAQ here: https://fieldview.ilight.com/en/supp...gh-a-surface-1

The second part of your question (how to calculate heat transfer) could be interpreted in a number of ways. Fortunately, using the Function Specification and Integration Control Panels in FieldView makes it easy to calculate any number of custom user-defined quantities and to integrate them on any surface.

Remember, if the scalars/vectors already exist in your dataset you can export any of the existing quantities using the Fluent fvuns export feature and view the results in FieldView without needing to recalculate them as a user-defined function. This is an ideal option when the data already exists from the solver and you just want to view the data in FieldView.
