Fieldview binary file format

Hi, I try to find information on binary file format of Fieldview 11. The extension is .fvuns Anyone knows where to find such description?

The FV-UNS format is described in the Appendix of the FIELDVIEW user manual. |

As John said it's well documented in the User manual, you could also call your distributor if you require further info, they are very helpful.

I am currently writing an API to read binary FieldView files (version 3.0). I made a visual file structure representation, which is based on the reference guide. Howevever, the documentation is not perfectly clear on two topics:
- Wether the polygon element section is really optional - The standard element header encoding For that reason, I can not vouch for perfection. If anyone has access to the fv_encode_elem_header routine, I'm happy for any further insights, because the standard elements can not be read if a section contains mixed standard element definitions. I am currently skipping these sections. |
