Hy guys,
i would like to simulate a static pressure sensor on a duct. I've put a small diameter pipe on the duct surface. I'd like to know which boundary condition i must impose on the top of the small diameter pipe. Do you think that a WALL boundary condition could be right? Thanks in advance |

From your description, I understand you have modeled the probe with a mesh of a pipe. The boundaries of these should be SOL (walls) and the connection with the duct... well, the best is to have a matching connection... if it is non-matching then make sure the max Expansion Ratio is not greater than 3 through the connection. You can choose to output using IJK indices the static pressure, you need to figure the IJK indices that correspond to your sensor location of interest... and for postprocessing, make sure to select Static Pressure as output in the solid tab...
