I try to import my blade file as .igs in autogrid but it crashes and writes a recovery .trb file! I don't have problems with hub and shroud. I import them as .dat file but I don't know how I must write my blade .dat file!
My blade is fully 3D so I must write more then two sections. Can you give me an example about the format please? I must write a suction_side.dat and a pressure_side.dat or I can write only a blade.dat? Help me please! Thank you |

In fact, this is a common problem when importing UG files into autogrid. According my experience, I suggest that extracting the discrete points section by section of the blade(UG has the ability), then writing these point as a format of .geomturbo.
I think it is the best way to avoid crashing. |

Hello, I had the same problem few weeks ago and I don't really know where it comes from. I don't know if you're working on Windows system, but I solved the problem by working on linux... Furthermore, it seems that the soft doesn't really like the suction and pressure side thing, it's better working with the full surface blade. I hope it can help... good luck
