What is the most practiced turbulence model now?
The task is to evaluate the influence of the inlet Reynolds number on the compressor characteristic. What is the practice of applying the turbulence model and mesh parameters for stationary flow at similar task? |

Hi;
This is a very general question. According to the mentioned research topic, you should look for the most accurate one. More accurate models needs better mesh qualities and needs more works to reach a converged solution. Maybe in your case using a transition model together with turbulence model is necessary since laminar-turbulent transition is expected to happen around the airfoils. Regards |
