Hi everyone;
Applying endwall fillets in multi-row simulations increases massflow imbalance. (up to 0.7% in some cases!). Neither fine meshes nor increased mesh concentrations around the fillets does not solve the problem. Is there any specific guideline to lower the error level? Thanks |

You may check the .mf file (with expert parameter IWRIT=1 activated) to check the flux losses over the interfaces. Shock waves near the interface can also result in mass flow imbalances. Might this be the case in your application? I am not sure if it is directly related to the fillets.

Thanks for the prompt response!
Actually the case has no shocks at interfaces. on the other hand the strange issue is that the imbalance is quite lower in similar case with no endwall fillets. |
