Hello,

I wondering how can I adjust the aspect ratio of my blade? In particular, how can I alter the chord lenght of the chord? My blade is defined via 20 sections. It should no be a big deal, but somehow I don't know how to do it. Also, the two tutorials provided and the user guide couldn't help me out here.

To change the hight of the blade, I suppose I need to change the hub respectively the shroud geometry and adjust the stream surfaces?!

Thanks a lot!

p.s.: I've asked the same question at the NUMECA autoblade forum. When I get an answer there, I will post it

I found it.

You need to toggle Model Editor/Construction Plane/Reference Length/True chord based. Then you can change the chord length.

Hi;
In Autoblade there are two methods to define the arifoil: "meridional chord based" and "true chord based" which can be found on left side of the autoblade screen under the "main blade" icon colored in green.
Once "meridional chord based" strategy is selected you can change axial chord as an independent parameter but there is no direct control on chord value.
Instead, when "true chord based" method is selected true chord as an independet parameter is added to parameters of each section. So that you can easily change the true chords at each section and change the aspect ratio.
On the other hand by changing the hub and tip radii on"stream surface" parameter length of the blade can also be changed which provides more flexibility to change the aspect ratio.

regards
