Hi all
Those days, I use AutoGrid5 8.7-2 to create a mesh of a divergent axial turbine with one cascade. When I presented the mesh to my professor last week, he told me that quality of mesh near the end wall didn’t meet his demands, especially in orthogonality. He suggested, if possible, that the grid line in spanwise direction should be almost vertical with end wall(see figure). I’ve tried to optimize mesh for several times, but I found it’s difficult to control the spanwise grid lines to be vertical with the end wall. Would you tell me whether I can optimize the mesh or how to get it. Thanks ! |

The shape of the grid lines in spanwise direction is imposed by the z-constant lines. You could modify the shape of these lines in the meridional view.
