There is a training note from the last user meeting in October 2015 concerning UQ (axial compressor example included), maybe this is a first guidance. You may send me a PM with your email-address.

Dear eng.abdul,
please get in touch with NUMECA International to get the newest information as possible, since this module has been further developed since 2015. Secondly, you may discuss the possibilities and limitations concerning UQ in your project directly. Kind regards, Holger |

Did you already have a look at the website of NUMECA in the page on Uncertainty Quantification and the documentation provided with your licensed products? The uncertainty quantification is described in detail in the documentation.
If you have specific questions about it, please don't hesitate to post them here. Best regards, Colinda Head academic group, NUMECA International. |

I want use the UQ module to analyse the geometric uncertainty of a centrifugal compressor. The version I used is 11.1. But I can't find the run mode of the uncertainty quantification. There are just screening, database and optimization. How can I start the UQ computation?
Best regards |

The uncertainty quantification is in the FINE/Turbo GUI, not in Design3D (screening, database and optimization are modules of Design3D).

I think you have to add additional Fine turbo GUI of uncertainties in the presence of existing Fine turbo file ...

The introduction in the manual is as follow:
To set up a non deterministic computation in FINE/Design3D, the user should follow the steps below: Create a FINE/Turbo project and launch the computation. The FINE/Turbo computation is used as the deterministic computation. The results will be used during the post processing of non deterministic results in FINE/Design3D. Switch to FINE/Design3D, create a new computation with the Run Mode Uncertainty Quantification. In the QAP Simulation Tasks, set the CFD chain, from mesh generation to post processing. In the QAP Uncertainty Settings, choose the geometrical and/or operational uncertainty entries, then set the uncertainty definition for each selected uncertainty entry. Launch the non deterministic computation from the menu Process / Start. In the QAP Solution Monitor, visualize various CFD numerical results and images, and check the non deterministic results The QAP Simulation Tasks, Uncertainty Settings and Solution Monitor are included in the left tree of the interface and are described in detail in the next sections. But when I switch to design3d and creat a new computation, I can not find the run mode of UQ. How can I choose it? |

Do you have the license for the uncertainty quantification module?

I find the UQ module needs independent license just now, and I don't have the license. I have apply the R&D license on the official website of numeca international. But I haven't received reply. Can you give me any suggestion?
