Are there anyone who has worked on a Fluid-Structure interaction model with NUMECA and ANSYS? I need to ask some questions about the procedure that I have to follow.
I would be most indebted if you can help me!! regards, Bekir |

Hi!
I am working on a project about a unidirectional fluid-structural interaction to validate the blading of compressors. Theorethical part of the study does not seem to be a big problem but my problem is about the modeling process. I will use the pressure outputs of the Numeca software, but I dont exactly understand the procedure about how to implement the results of this time-periodic unsteady flow analysis to ANSYS. I could not find any tutorials related to this issue. Could you please give me some hints about which steps should I follow for the implementation of this pressure output to the ANSYS? ( I mean which analysis steps should I use to make a forced response modal blade shape analysis) Thank you very much!!! |

hi,
it is very easy and please remember that your should first create the Ansys input .cdb file. you can find more information on FINE/Turbo v8.10 user manual section 10 Ansys output. you will get more information. You have to make sure that location of ansys mesh and cfd mesh is same in direction and position. If not you can use rotation option in the FiNE/Turbo. Also are you using only only one blade or more than one blade to map the data? in case if you are using more than one blade you have create the more id in ansys mesh. if you have any question please let me know. |

Hello !
It is me again I am having some troubles about format of the output files. In APDL script, the format of the input file has to be like given below: "(f20.12,f20.12,f20.12,f20.12,f20.12)" But I don't know how to adjust the format of the input file. I have tried excel but I could only adjust the decimals. When there is a sign change or something like that, the text file shifts all the following characters and it does not fit the format that i define in the apdl script. Do you have a suggestion for this situation? Regards, Bekir |

hello Lohit,
I have created the .cdb file and tried to use it as input in NUMECA. Unfortunately Numeca crashes when it starts to read it. The crash message in Linux is this: ************************************************* WARNING: ANSYS VERSION 14.0.3 IS NOT SUPPORTED (> 8.0)! TRY TO READ THE FILE STOP THE READING ONLY IF A PROBLEM IS DETECTED At line 282 of file _src/_FEmodel-interaction/ReadANSYS.F Fortran runtime error: Bad value during integer read ************************************************ Do you have any suggestions to fix this problem? I could not find a solution so far. Please help me |
