Hi,
When you create a clip part with a plane tool, if the plane tool happens to be in the middle of an element, EnSight will do a re-mesh of the element in order to break it in smaller elements, so that it can take only a fraction of the original cell for creating the new clip part. The extra-lines that you are seeing, therefore, derive from this re-meshing process. In order to prevent having these extra-lines, you'll need to position the plane tool that you use to create the clip plane at the interface between two elements, so that EnSight won't do a re-mesh of the elements (as it will take the entire element to create the new clip part). Hope this is clear and solves your problem. Let me know if that's not the case. Best Regards, Marina Galvagni CEI Software Support Engineer |
