Hello,

I have made a clipping plane, and I want to get the orthogonal view to it to be able to observe everything in true magnitude.

Does anyone know how to do it??

Thank you!!!

Currently, you have a few options. They are not ideal, and there is feature request to add a more direct/simple way to do this. Until then, here are couple of options:
a. If the Clip is made with the Plane Tool, then you can set the CAMERA normal to the Plane Tool. Viewports take their view into the scene from Camera, and thus the view can be normal to the plane.
b. If you only want to show that part in a viewport, you can modify the viewport to be a 2D viewport. Only that 2D part will be shown, and the view will remain normal to that part.

We hope to have an easier/direct method to do this in the near future.

Thank you very much, Kevin!! I am not sure how the camera thing works, but I will take a look at it

Hi Kevin,
could you give me more information step by step to the option a?
I tried the option b and it works nicely, but I have a question: Am I able to rotate 2D view (create by option b) by 90 degree clockwise or counterclockwise?
Thanks
