I have just packaged enGrid for openSUSE 11.2. You can install it from

http://software.opensuse.org/search?...2&p=1&q=engrid

Other two packages that might be of interest to LaTeX users are

JabRef: http://software.opensuse.org/search?...2&p=1&q=jabref

Ekee: (a graphical equation editor) http://software.opensuse.org/search?...1.2&p=1&q=ekee

Enjoy
