Hello ...
I am trying to run the engrid tutorial on heat exchanger using openfoam. Can anyone help me on this. I dont know where to begin. https://github.com/enGits/enGrid_SteadyChtExample Things I did.. I tried to run case file given there but it has no allrun file for noobs like me . I realise there is no polymesh file in the constant folder. I go back to engrid tried to export the mesh in to constant folder. I export the grid to find that it created three folders with polymesh file .(feeling accomplished) . Now what, I still have to run this thing. Dont know how to go ahead. pls Help ... My promises if somebody help me .. I will make a complete tutorial for the entire process. |

I never used engrid so my advice may not be much useful... However, I have worked with chtMultiregionFoam for a while so I will try to give you some (more or less useful) hint. My guess is that you should take an Allrun script from a chtMultiRegion*Foam tutorial as a base script. Then you should skip the steps where blockMesh and topoSet are launched and substitute these steps with another step where you run engridFoam application (no idea on how this application works, it's your concern to find it out).
Hope it helps a little on your way to make it work, I cannot give you any deeper advice since I ignore how engrid and engridFoam work. Regards, Alex

Thank u Alex
Indeed I thought that ... But it wont work run as I dont know whether the case is complete. The polymesh file is missing. Also when i try to export the engrid file i get the polymesh file but that doesnt look like what it should be. Can you take a look at the case. I dont any other alternate ways to work with engrid. Regards Muhammadali |

Hello ..
I was working on this case file only to realize that the case has so many issues and one of them being openFoam version. If we want to run this case on latest openfoam version so many edits should be done. for eg bouyantPressure to fixedflux. Some files seems to be missing in the case. I saw the case file for planewall2D and modified the case accordingly. I dont know openfoam much( i am a total noob)the case I created is correct seems to run.. |

Hallo Mohammad!
did you reach any results in the case? I also started working on it and it would be nice to start where you stopped and not from zero. Regards and Salam Peter |
