Hi
I am trying to use engrid to mesh geometry imported from blender, the geometry consist of a cube domain with inlet and outlet points at the top, and a seated human manikin - the idea being to evaluate thermal comfort. I would include a screen shot but I do not know how to attach pictures on this forum as of yet ? I have completed tutorials for engrid however, when I try to create an improved surface mesh for my cube domain, I receive error - i think the problem comes from the values I assign my max edge length and cell expansion value - are there any more detailed instructions for engrid 1.4?? my cube domain volume is 2x2x2 m^3 kind regards g |

Hi
I am slightly confused here because in blender the model was deemed to be watertight however when I check the surface integrity within engrid it gives me a lot of bad cells and empty cells - also stating the model is not watertight. When I return to blender and check the geometry it does indeed seem to meet the requirements. is it possible to fix this within engrid interface or do I need to start again? kind regards g |

Improved Geometry with inlet and outlet points overhead in an effort to replicate air conditioning in an aircraft - after the results have been analyzed for this simplified case the next step will be to run a simulation of an aircraft cabin domain.
It seems there are some shapes and meshes in blender that do not integrate into engrid. If anyone has problems with blender engrid integration do not hesitate to contact me. kind regards g |

Greetings,
I am trying to generate a mesh around a gully gratings with Engrid. I have built my fluid domain with blender after exporting my gully into STL file. But when running create/improve surface mesh in engrid, no meshes are generated. I get this error "this seems to be a bug with engrid". I really appreciate help. https://drive.google.com/folderview?...mM&usp=sharing, the link for my case PS : I am using Engrid 1.2 and Blender 2.49 |
