Hello Everyone,
I have started a two-Stroke engine simulation in Converge version 3.1 and have a question about the sealing clearance. How the maximum clearance between piston and cylinder should be? I have found some discussions here on the forum that the clearance should not exceed 1e-06 m, but is this regulation for the all Converge versions? and with the two sealing methods (seal configuration panel and interface boundaries)? Additionally, when I let the gab so small (around 1e-06 m) I got many warnings for cell pairing, after that, I measured it in the two-stroke example model and it is about 2e-06 m. So I'm a little bit confused about the correct configurations, can any one help please? Thanks in advance, Regards |

Hi David,
For interface based sealing, sealing tolerance is not required. If you are using sealing configuration panel then your sealing tolerance should be bigger than the gap you are sealing. |
