When I am converting .h5 file to Paraview ASCII format for a spray simulation I run, I am getting always the following error :
HDF5-DIAG: Error detected in HDF5 (1.8.17) thread 0: #000: C:\Users\jpovich\hdf5-1.8.17\hdf5-1.8.17\src\H5Dio.c line 173 in H5Dread(): can't read data major: Dataset minor: Read failed I am not sure what is causing this, because as it is seen in screenshot, it gives error only for one post .h5 file while works normally for the other .h5 files of the same simulation. If someone had this issue before or has an idea what might be causing this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance |

Hi, have you tried converting only this file alone and see if it works? Could it be a corrupted file with some bad points? You can also confirm this by loading the file to Tecplot to see if it can read correctly.
By the way, in Studio v3.1 and v4.0, we provide the integrated Paraview which can read the H5 files directly. If possible, can you try it? Quote:

I looked it up in Paraview, and to me it looked normal.
Converting only one file fails only when converting to spray_STREAM file, which is mainly what I am interested in. |
