Hello, I am running an IC engine simulation where initially I specified "Global" heat model in the boundary.in file. I understand that in this case the heat transfer model will be considered from the turbulence.in file and there the default model is the O'Rourke and Amsden model. For the same case, I tried specifying O'Rourke and Amsden model in the boundary.in file itself and I see that there is a significant change in the results with this. Is there any reason why this is so, because the same model, applied in two different ways, should not give such a large difference in results.

Hi Arun,
Thank you for spotting the results difference when using these two heat-model settings. Based on my understanding, the results should be similar. In order to better understand the difference between these two cases and to address your concerns, could you please contact support@convergecfd.com via email with your case setup? We will take a close look into it. Thanks, --Mingyi ___________ Mingyi Liang Research Engineer, Applications CONVERGECFD Last edited by lmy_csi; November 15, 2022 at 13:56. |
