I want to simulate the combustion process and emissions(methanol and formaldehyde) of SI methanol engines. The combustion preocess has been reproduced well using ECFM model. However, when I using ECFM+SAGE to simulate the emissions, EXIT STATUS: -1 (ffffffff) will occurs at about 250CA(The spray starts at 240CA). When I turn off the spary model, the simulation can run. Besides, I dont find any example case of ECFM+SAGE. Can someone please help?

Hi,
I think there is an example case utilizing ECFM + SAGE for the combustion in Studio. Please look at the case "Tumble GDI ECFM SAGE Transient RANS" under Internal Combustion Engines -> Gasoline Spark Ignition GDI. If you continue to have problems with your setup, feel free to get in touch with the Support team at support@convergecfd.com and someone can look into this. Please use your official email for all correspondence with Convergent Science. Praveen |
