Hi,
I'm working on a conjugate heat transfer problem wherein I have a wall that is defined with a heat flux boundary condition. Now, I have another constraint that the wall temperature should not increase beyond 1000 deg C. How do I go about with these dual constraints. Since there is heat transfer from the wall to the second region, the boundary condition should have an on/off condition for heat flux with temperature control. Thank you, Asher |

Hi Asher,
I do not think there is a way to do this normally within CONVERGE. You can only limit the temperature of the whole domain using the max_temp option in inputs.in . However it might be possible to set the heat flux to 0 when the wall temperature reaches 1000 C using a UDF. Please get in touch with support@convergecfd.com and someone can look into this. Please use your official email for all correspondence with Convergent Science. Praveen |
