Hello everyone :
I'm meeting this error as follows: 0364 WARNING: it = 1, WARNING ... extrapolating on the temperature calculation JOB ABORT invoked by rank 0: 0366 ERROR: Something is wrong in function get_temp_from_table_massfrac: upper_energy_value must be greater than lower_energy_value! upper_energy_value is -nan(ind), and lower_energy_value is -nan(ind). This error will be reported after about two degrees of gasline injection. Can everyone tell me what caused this error and how to solve it |

Hello Tianyuan,
Temperature extrapolation issues can occur to a variety of reasons, like poor grid, too large time-steps, poor initial/boundary conditions, poor solver settings, etc. It would be premature to offer you solutions on how to fix this just by looking at the message. We would require more details about your case setup. But you can start with reducing your time-steps/cfl limits to see if it helps. You mentioned it occurs right after start of injection. You could check to see if your current spray and grid settings lead to too much liquid mass in a single cell. If that turns out to be the case, increase your num_parcels_per_nozzle in spray.in. If you continue to face issues, please reach out to us at support@convergecfd.com. Please use your official email for all correspondence with Convergent Science. Please mention the issues you're facing, attach your case setup and add the cfd-online thread, as reference. Sincerely, |
