Hi,
Is there any way, so that I can visualize the combustion noises of a particular cycle (say 5th cycle)? My intention is to compare the noises arising due to combustion of two different engine design for the same cycle. Regards, Priyabrata |

Hi,
In order to capture combustion noise, you will have to resolve propagating pressure waves and their reflections off of combustion chamber walls. The time step has to be small enough to capture these pressure oscillations. Please take a look at the "Si8 Engine Knock" example case in CONVERGE Studio for case setup guidance. There are no noise related standard outputs but if you place pressure monitoring probes in several locations (shown in the above example case) inside the combustion chamber to capture the pressure oscillations at high frequency, you should be able to back out the relevant noise related outputs. Hope this helps, |
