Hi all,
The formula of convective heat transfer between gas and wall film is q=h(Tgas-Tfilm). My question is what is the value of Tgas? The definition of Tgas is surrounding gas. In many literatures for liquid evaporation, it's used as ambient gas temperature T_infinity? However, under engine conditions, there is no constant ambient temperature. Therefore, is the value of Tgas the temperature of most adjacent gas cell near the wall film surface? Thanks a lot if anyone could help with this problem, it's been confusing me for a while. |

Hi, T_gas is the gas temperature of the cell that containing the film.
