hi,
I am doing research about piston bowl of diesel engine. There are some questions about the surface.dat. As the piston bowl could not be made through rotating a profile directly,I didn't use the tool named make engine sector surface. When I imported stl file from other CAD software to CONVERGE,it appears "WARNING :areas of periodic boundaries 2 and 3 do not match. This may cause mass loss","periodic boundary area diff: 3.751019832262e-08". Sometimes simulation completed, but most of cases just teminated without any tips in compression stroke. Anybody can help me solve the problem? Thanks. Alex |

the periodic boundaries should have exactly the same area
if warning message reports the difference in the areas of the two periodic boundaries could you check your periodic boundaries 2 and 3 in the geometry? they seem mismatch |
