Hello Folks
For any who performs nozzle VOF simulation, I would like to ask if you have seen the temperature extrapolation error with high injection pressure ? I have encounters a lot of temperature errors if injection pressure is above 200bar with mini 16 um grid size. The simulation works well with low pressure though. Anybody has experience on how to resolve this issue ? Does hidden/in work then ? 0364 WARNING: it = 1, WARNING ... extrapolating on the temperature calculation get_temp_from_sensible_sie problem found in rank 0 at cell 21500, located at <-0.000792, 0.000584, -7.5e-06>, in region 2, whose level=9, ii=206, jj=292, kk=141[/I] |

Hi,
Most likely the warning was due to insufficient grid resolution where high velocity or temperature occurs. For a high pressure nozzle, you may need a finer mesh to better resolve the spray. Please double check the mesh control.
