Hi!,I'm a PhD student from the Universitat Politècnica de València, in Spain. My PhD thesis is about conjugate heat transfer. I started using the demo for practice and to know how converge works. I added an improvised piston and head on the demo case, with the piston there's no was any problem but when I set the head the simulation doesn't run. I have tried many things but the problem still continues, always give me an error like this:
ERROR: the surface has a non-interface triangle that is only connected to a single interface triangle -- this is not allowed. Please check out Boundary 1 and Boundary 2. I hope you can help me. Best Regards, Johan E. |

Hi Johan,
Could you please let me know if your geometry is error free when you run the diagnose tool? In addition, you will have to make sure that there is no triangle intersection in each step. You may check this using View Options --> Animation --> Check Triangle Intersection. Could you please check and let me know. Thanks!

yes, I have checked with the diagnosis tool and I have used the check triangle intersection and there wasn't problem.
I told you before I was able to run the simulation only with the piston but the problem appears when I added the head or the liner. I have tried running the simulation but it has been impossible. It's still so rare because I'm using the demo case. Do you have any ideas about this problem? Best regards, |

Hello,
I suggest you should check all the boundaries thoroughly, in particular interface boundaries, to confirm their setup is correct. For example, make sure all the normals are pointing in the right direction for all the boundaries. Can you please check this and let me know.

Hi! I checked the geometry and apparently everything is fine, but it always appears the same error. I don't know why?

Can you email your case (all .in and .dat files) to support@convergecfd.com so that we can take a look at this case? Please use your official email for all correspondence with us.
Thank You, |
