Hi! I need to set a CHT case with a coating on piston, but I can't use the contact resistance because it doesn't take in account the thermal capacitance and for the coating that we need to simulate the thermal capacitance have to be considered. Due to computational limitations I can't create the coating on the geometry, as I wouldl need a ultra very fine mesh.
I want to know if it's possible to introduce the thermal capacitance in the wall_values.in file? Best regards |

You can try using the CHT-1D feature to model this. We specify heat capacity (Cp) for a solid and hence thermal capacitance should be taken in to account. Contact support@convergecfd.com if you need help setting up your case with CHT-1D.
