Restart problem

Hey Guys,

I have the problem that I cannot restart any cases with parallel processing anymore. I can start a new run, but when I want to restart a case, the command window just show no response. However, the .echo files are created. I have that problem for version 2.2. and version 2.3.

Does anyone experience the same problem and knows how to solve it or the reasons for it?

Hi GNKK,

Did you make any changes in the setup when you were trying to restart the case? You can only make certain modification in the setup while restarting.

Hey Yaju,

no it is also not working when I do not change anything. At the beginning I wanted to refine my mesh and change the fixed embedding scales but later I tried it without any changes and it still did not work.

I was searching for the reason and tried several settings. When I use the settings of some former cases I am able to restart. But when I use my most recent settings it is not possible, even when I do not change anything before restarting. Has anyone an idea what kind of settings can cause that?

If you saved the .echo files of the run which generated the restart file. Try to compare those files with the echo files generated from the run which is stalling. You might be able to spot the differences between the runs.
