I am trying to run a vof simulation of a droplet impinging on a roughened flat plate from an inlet flow. Since running the simulation for the whole domain will take a long time, I am planning to use only one by fourth of the domain. I am concerned whether I can proceed this way or not?
if yes, what boundary conditions do I need to set up which divides my domain. |

Hi Nitisha,
You can run VOF simulation with periodic boundary conditions. But, you have to make sure that when you divide the geometry, the resultant quadrants are all same. |
