HI, Iwas running a transient case in converge. After a particular time step I had to verify something, so I stopped the cmd ensuring that there are 3 restart files available.
After sometime, when I tried to restart the simulation, the following error was shown in the command prompt:
"converge-2.3.5-msmp i-windows-64.exe ended prematurely and may have crashed. exit code 0xc0000005"
But I had no problem in running a new simulation.

Is there anyway I can restart that simulation... Or can anyone explain wha tis the root cause of this problem?
Thank you

Hello There,

It seems that the restart file was corrupted. You can check the size of the restart files to see if the third one is very small. You can move the third restart file to other place to restart your simulation with the second restart file. Usually we change end_time when we want to stop the simulation earlier. Normal termination of the simulation can generate a restart file and a map file separately. In the meantime, we will test the restart runs on Windows to see if we can capture this issue. Other users are welcome to comment on this.

Thanks,

Yunliang

Thank you for the reply. In my case, there are 3 restart files 1st and 3rd are having 150 MB size and second one with 300MB (approx). So I was pretty confident to end the simulation temporarily.
I will check with two restart files for sure.
