Hello,
I use a track-etched membrane for cancer cell separation in my experiments. I am trying to model a filter for cancer cell separation to determine experiment parameters. As you guessed, the filter has too many pores on the surface. I used the "porous media" interface under the laminar flow module instead of modeling pore geometry to dispose of enormous computing power. Yet, I checked the literature, and "porous media" may be used for different purposes such as modeling riverbanks, etc. Also, in my filter model, the filter has the smallest hydraulic resistance when I compared with the other fluidic channels. According to my calculations and even logically, the filter should have the biggest resistance on the system. As a result, I have a big problem! Could you help me? Best regards, Basak |
