I'm trying to simulate in COMSOL (Acoustic-Solid Interaction, Frequency Domain) an acoustic solid lens in the air. Frequency 100 kHz. The radius of curvature of the lens is 50 mm. I assume that the focal length F will be greater than the radius of curvature of the lens F > R=50 mm. But the focal length is about 40 mm in the model . Why is the focal length less than the radius of curvature of the lens?
