Hi,
I am trying to solve a 1D transport problem in COMSOL.
Initial condition = 0
Boundary condition = 86 M

This creates a discontinuity at the x position 0. I understand a step function can be used to avoid the discontinuity. But I am not sure how the step function has to be defined. Should it be specified in the initial condition tab?

Any suggestion on how to do this will be really helpful
