Hello,
I'm looking for ways of creating a mesh for a 2D geometry. It's a straight line, the nodes have to be positioned along the x direction and all y-coordinates are zero. Example: 0 : delx : xend, where delx =0.5, xend = 20. I have to create the input file in a format that will be compatible for importing in COMSOL. Any suggestions on how to proceed will be really helpful Thanks, Natasha Last edited by Natasha; February 7, 2020 at 08:28. |

You say 1D mesh in your title, but you say 2D in your post. I personally have never heard of someone using a 1D mesh for anything useful. Maybe you have some non zero dimension in the Z direction?
If not, then just find out the kind of input COMSOL accepts and generate the actual data using a simple script or in your case even manually. |

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the response. That was a mistake in the title. I could create the mesh in gmsh. |
