Hi,
could anyone kindly let me know if there is any possibility of soving for turbulent flow problems like channel flow using the COMSOL/FEMLAB PDE mode by specifying the boussinesq closure for reynolds stresses etc and k-epsilon eqs etc? has anyone tried solving turbulent flows using COMSOL/FEMLAB ????? thanks a lot karuna |

Hi:
I loked at Comsol almost a year ago and they had a steady incompressible k-e turbulence model for their incompressible solver. It is a part of their chemical engg. module, I belive. Hope that helps. Sam |

Hi Sam,
Thank you. Could you tell me if is possible to modify the available model and add a different closure to it ? i mean if i need to modify the boussinesq closure and etc. and implement more additional equations etc. ? or is it just available without much options to change them? ( i am new to this so i dont know how it works) thank you |
