I want to use COMSOL package to solve time dependent Marangoni instability in 2D and 3D. Can anybody give me a lucid introduction to the weak formulation of the problem? I understand that I need to use a test function, but how to choose that test function (like u_test or T_test or uxx_test)? What is the origin and necessity of a Lagrange multiplier in the generalised Neuman boundary condition?
