How do you extract boundary layer profile on an airfoil

Hi,

I'd like to know how to plot the boundary layer profile at various locations along an airfoil's surface. I know I can define a line and plot velocity magnitudes along it at various locations,but how do I make sure the line is normal to the surface? Is there a more straight-forward way? Thanks.
