Hi Everybody,
At the moment I am running transient ansys analyses. One of my analysis 'crashed' because there was no more space left on my harddisk. The analysis is therefore unfinished. I can still see and open the corresponding .dir folder, but the analysis itself is doing nothing. The problem is that my last result file is a long time ago. But, I have made a backup (.bak) file recently. My problem now is that I am unable to restart my analysis using this backup file and make sure that the transient data it generates is related to the all the previous transient data. Can you please help me with this?? So, how can I recover my analysis?? Your advise is welcome. Thanks in advance, Diddypablo |

Hi,
normally you just start your calculation from your backup file. -> CFX Solver -> define run -> .bak Nevertheless I and some other people had some problem with calculation starting from a backup file. If your last transient full res file is not too old, just use this timestep to beginn an new simulation. but probably I am just too stuipd |

Hi Far,
Thanks for the tip. I have tried it. For now it goes oke, I still have to manually select the time steps though, but it recognises it as the same analysis, so thats good. Thanks! |
